His personal work involves dramatic movement which can be viewed throughout his drawings, paintings, photography and graphic work. - Artist Statement

My artwork takes a critical view of social and cultural issues. In my work, I try to formulate and tell dramatic stories that I feel will help motivate and inspire positivity. Having engaged subjects as diverse as the pro's of safe sex, southern gospel and hip hop music, my work reproduces familiar visual signs, arranging them into creative conceptual thinking.

Often times these themes are combined into installations that feature objects drawn, photographed or painted with earth tone colors to be relaxing to the eye. In addition, I use allot of bold and grained text for some of my work. The texts provides edge and clues to the content and understanding of the work.

While I use a variety of materials and processes in each project my style is consistent. Although there may not always be material similarities between the different projects, they are linked by recurring formal concerns and through subject matter. The subject matter of each body of work establishes the materials and the forms of the work.

Each project often consists of multiple works, often in a range of different media, grouped around specific themes and meanings. During my research and production, new areas of interest arise and lead to new ideas to produce new photography, drawings, paintings and 3-D work.
